The still pictures are stored on the same tape as the video and can also be taken in 4:3 (640 x 480) or 16:9 (640 x 260) aspect ratios. The PVGS85 is equipped with a lens capable of a 32x optical zoom. The powerful optics act like a telescope to produce close-up shots with extraordinary clarity, so you won't miss a single detail. The variable speed zoom lets you zoom in quickly or make the transition more slowly. An Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.) helps you get steady footage, which is often difficult to achieve with such a powerful zoom lens.
