Create an account
You do not have to log in to read WikiSpecs. You do not have to log in even to edit or add product specifications on WikiSpecs - just about anyone can edit almost any article at any given time, even without logging in, and many long-time contributors do not log in. Nevertheless, creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive and provides several benefits like:
- The ability to start new pages, including your user page.
- The ability to edit semi-protected pages (your account must be at least four days old to do this, but these pages cannot be edited by unregistered users).
- The ability to rename pages.
- The ability to upload images and files.
Adding specifications for new products
If you have specifications, firmwares, manuals, drivers or you saw interesting and useful reviews on the net about any product do not wait to add a page for it (if it doesn't exist) and add this information on the site. Our goal is to collect every single detail for every single product in the world. As you could imagine it is a hard task but you could help a lot.
Requirements for becoming a contributor
Everyone is welcome to contribute in WikiSpecs. Everything you need is information(not existing already on the site) about any product and the willingness to share it with the world. Those who believe that the Web should be the easiest way to get free useful information for everything you need will enjoy becoming contributors. For information on how to start or edit a page take a look at the Help page.
